CNC Programmer

CNC Machine Operator

FULL OR PART TIME

The CNC Machine Operator at HM Machine runs assigned CNC machines and supports production procedures for the manufacturing of product.

The CNC Machine Operator produces parts with proficiency to meet specifications, within allotted time standards, and with minimal supervision in the fast-paced production environment at HM Machine.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in a manufacturing / production environment
Able to use precision measuring tools, such as micrometers
Knowledge of G&M Codes
General computer skills
Written and verbal communication skills
A positive attitude
Self-motivated

Responsibilities

Perform operation of assigned CNC machines
Document operations per procedure
Understand capabilities of tooling and machinery
Apply quality system requirements and perform inspections
Reports all deviations in proper machine performance
Consult with supervisor with respect to tooling needs
Maintain fixtures and set-ups for assigned projects
Perform preventative maintenance on CNC Machines as needed
Maintain a team focused work environment

CNC Lathe Machinist

FULL TIME

Setup and operate CNC Lathes to effectively produce parts within manufacturing specification within allotted time standards with minimal supervision in a fast-paced job shop environment.

Areas of Responsibilities

Performs operation of assigned CNC Lathes
Performs preventative maintenance and diagnostics on the CNC Lathes as needed and required
Reports all deviations in proper machine performance
Advises and consults with direct supervisor and or shop supervisor for tools and tooling needed
Maintains fixtures and set-ups for use in specified projects as assigned
Inspects and documents all operations per procedure
Identify, select and install proper tooling for operations being performed.
Intuitively understand capabilities of tooling and machinery
Understand applicable quality systems and perform necessary quality inspections
Must be able to set up all necessary measuring equipment and routinely check the calibration of the equipment while measuring
Create and maintain a team focused work environment
Work with Gantry robots and collaborative robots for production products

Skills, Experience, & Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5 + years experience in setup and operation of CNC machines
Proficient knowledge of G&M Codes with the ability to make program edits at the machine
Must be able to read and interpret customer drawings with an understanding of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances per ANSI Y-14.5
Skills in inspection of work produced using precision measuring equipment to include:
- Micrometers, bore gauges, dial calipers or other measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Maintain tolerances as close as 0.0001’’
Experience working in an ISO-9001 or AS9100 Quality Environment is desired
Strong computer skills
Follow other job-related instructions and perform other job related tasks as required

CNC Programmer

FULL TIME

The CNC Programmer at HM Machine is primarily responsible for the development of manufacturing processes and producing efficient, effective, and high quality CNC programs to machine parts according
to the specifications set by the customer.

The programming requirements are to support the CNC lathe and 5-axis CNC mills.

Areas of Responsibilities

Develop CAD geometry and drawings, NC programs, and process documents for CNC machining centers.
Edit NC code as necessary for input to machine.
Prepare CAD models for input to CMM inspection software.

Knowledge & Skills (General)

General

Basic knowledge of metal removal processes, cutting tools, and CAD/CAM.
An understanding of machine G/M-code syntax and sequencing.
GD&T and mechanical drafting

Software

MS Office including Outlook
SolidWorks,DraftSight, AutoCAD
CAMWorks, SmartCAM
OpenDMIS or similar

Education & Experience

BS in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering or a technical degree and equivalent experience in an engineering/manufacturing position.
Familiar with machinery and a shop, factory, or production environment.

Quality Engineer

FULL TIME

The Quality Engineer develops quality plans and ensures company adherence to plans as
well as programs, sets-up and utilizes the CMM to accurately measure machined parts and
provide customers with inspection reports.

Areas of Responsibilities

Review quotes and orders for quality and inspection requirements
Company contact for internal (HM) and external (customers and vendors) product quality issues
Responsible for gage calibration Programs CMM per customer drawings and CAD Files
Runs CMM to accurately check machined parts and reports back to Machinist/Operator if there are any issues with measurements
Performs preventative maintenance and diagnostics on CMM as needed and required
Reports all deviations in proper machine performance
Advises and consults with Engineering and or shop supervisor for fixturing and tooling
Inspects, documents and operates per procedure

Skills, Experience & Education

Bachelor’s Degree
5 years experience running CMM machines and performing mechanical inspection
Experience in a manufacturing / production environment
Knowledge of SPC
Capable in MS Excel
Ability to read blueprints, perform GD&T
